Habitized - more than a habit tracker

Habitized - more than a habit tracker

A habit and productivity app built around goals, different ways of tracking progress, and the messy reality of trying to stay consistent.

Habitized started as a 60-day build-in-public challenge on X and turned into a real product. I wanted something that could handle more than just checking off a habit every day - something that could connect daily actions to bigger goals and actually show the effort behind the progress.

I built Habitized end-to-end, from the architecture and UI to local storage, analytics, background services, widgets, and Play Store release. It supports different ways of building habits - one-time, count-based, duration, and session-based habits — so tracking doesn't have to mean forcing everything into the same checkbox.

You can also link habits to goals, log progress visually with images, use it as a to-do app, and track things like study sessions with its session/Pomodoro flow.

What started as something I was building for myself eventually became something other people started using. Habitized has crossed 2,000+ downloads, and I'm still getting feature requests and bug reports from actual users - which is honestly one of my favorite parts of shipping software.

And yes, there are still approximately lots things I want to fix.

Project goal:

Build a habit tracker that feels like a tool for actually changing your life ( actually I wanted to make the app for me )
